How Much Water Should You Consume

You should consume at least eight glasses of water a day is what most of us have heard all our life.  This is not true for one reason, if you are 4 years old and weighs 40lbs you will not need as much water as a thirty year old 170lbs individual that is exercising, or a sumo-wrestler would need to function optimally. The truth is that if you stick to about 1 liter or 1 quart of water to 50lbs of body weight then you are getting enough water under normal circumstances.
