Headaches come in many forms but all are annoying, or debilitating. The cause of a headache that starts at the base of the skull is due to some level of digestive stress such as constipation, sluggish bowels, inflamed bowels, or even diarrhea. This can be triggered by consuming to many grains, such as bread, rice, cereal, pasta, tortillas, and corn. This can be caused by consuming dairy and having an allergy to it. When the digestive lining is irritated or inflamed do to the effects of these foods, or to common food allergies there is an immediate dilation effect in the arteries in you head allowing an influx of blood flow to the area creating the basilar headache.
